Episode 12: Perfect Strangers

New Episodes

In (dis)honor of the recent collaboration of Lou Reed and Metallica, I decided to play my favorite weird and random duets that (much like the aforementioned LouTallica) look horrible on paper but (much like the aforementioned LouTallica) actually don’t stink up the joint. I can’t recommend an album LESS than ‘Lulu’. It is offensive to all of the senses that human beings have and if you want to listen to a metal band that won’t let you down then look no further to the remaining ‘Big 4′ lineup of Anthrax, Slayer and Megadeth. Lou Reed? yes I like ‘Transformer’ & ‘Berlin’ & ‘Rock & Roll’ but bottom line? you haven’t made anything great in my lifetime sir….end of story. Okay! I got that off my chest so now enjoy the show chock full of even weirder duets that will (hopefully) put a smile on your face enough to where you are compelled to buy.

Once you have listened to the episode, feel free to email joey@cnjradio.com and tell me what your favorite crazy duets are whether they were on this episode or not. Perhaps I missed a song you may think I may not be aware of. As always, I would love to know what your favorite or least favorite songs were from each episode. In addition you can request a theme for a future episode or just send good ol’ hate mail.

Current listening for the week:
Beach Boys – Smile (WOW!!!! still!)
Megadeth – Thirt3en (not that other band that starts with a ‘M’……. no no no no no)
The Delfonics (“they’re pretty good”)
